The beer is brewed according to traditional recipes from several types of malting barley of the highest quality and from hops from the žatecké pěstitelské region.
“We brew beer by mashing when the production of one batch lasts 1 day. The main fermentation takes place in the brewery cellars in open fermentation vats for 7–9 days. The main fermentation produces alcohol in beer and releases carbon dioxide. After the main fermentation, the yeast falls to the bottom and the beer is pumped to 13 lager tanks where it matures for 1 month (some specials, such as jubilee beers, and longer) and then served for consumption.
For cooking we use Pilsen soft water, which is without any additives and has been serving in Pilsen for the famous “Pilsen” for more than 150 years”
